The mix of paints I ordered are great but now I want more in every style, pastel and metallic etc! They work really well on my wall. I’m colouring plaster stencils. 👏
First time user of these pens and love them. Bought the bundle and have great colours. Love how quickly they dry.
I had seen Surf paints advertised for months then one day noticed on the ad that they were made in Japan, so I felt confident that the quality would be good and decided to order some. They begin to flow very easily with little pumping required and give excellent coverage. I’m very happy with them.
These pens are so much better than I expected them to be (I'm an old cynic y'know)
I'm not into surfing, but using paper, card, or canvas they are pretty impressive.
I'll be purchasing more!
Acrylics in pen form offer a good variety of colours. The tips are quite fine enough for detailed work. Great on fibre based surfaces (paper/card). A larger set with more colours would be more practical. A sealer will be required for the non-porous surfaces for durability.

Great pack as a starting point. Amazing colour selection. I would have loved more 1mm pens thou. Overall great value for money. Awesome product.
These pens are on par with other pens I have used. They are reasonable value for money and work well. They are a great addition for someone wanting to experiment with or use pens on any surface for acrylic artworks. They work well to supplement brushes and I enjoyed using them.
While these surfpaints seem marketed towards use on surfboards skateboards and other common substrates, I actually ordered them for use on small model kits as a quick way to add accents or to finish line detail with one or two quick strokes. This is a metallic colour acrylic paint marker set with some traditional metallic colours like silver but also some pastel metallic colours which I do not currently have in my paint lineup.Priming the pens before first use is very simple and then adding paint to my models is simple and painless and the pens allow far more control than small brushes do on most parts.Paint coverage of the pens is very good and for most surfaces and details, one stroke is enough to achieve and opaque coverage. Some of the lighter metallic colours may need a second or a third coat depending on your primer, colour or colour you are painting over. The acrylic medium seems to flow very well from the bullet tips of the marker pens + pigment load seems quite high. The markers do dry more opaque than when first lay down onto plastic which can seem slightly patchy but after drying the coverage definitely improves somewhat.I really like how simple these paint markers are to use and there is no cleanup except for replacing the cap onto the marker and storing away for next use.A great product and I look forward to adding more surfpaints to my acrylic paint marker collection!
These pens hold up to what they boast and really do write on everything. Having said that, they aren't necessarily permanent on everything. If it's a non-porous plastic surface it'll take a while to dry and be reasonably permanent but you can still rub most of it off it needed. For using it on a surface outdoors I'd probably spray a little varnish on top just to help it stay. It won't come off with just water alone though.I would say that you should be sure to read the instructions printed on the side of each pen - first you need to shake them thoroughly, then push the nib down onto a piece of paper for about 10 seconds until the ink flows up into the nib.I really like these pens but I think I'll have to work hard to keep them out of the hands of my kids because they really love them too. This is a set of paint pens that I can easily recommend.

These paint pens are a good size and this pack came in a good variety of colours. We don’t own a surfboard but these are ideal for any painting project.Application is only limited by your imagination. We used them for rock painting and it took a few goes to get used to the flow of the paint. They dry quickly so you can easily paint over any mistakes. The tips are quite think so not ideal for fine artwork.Overall I’m very happy with the product and would buy again in different colours. We are excited to start on some new painting projects.
The primary set of Surfpaints offers a good selection of colours that activate easily and flow beautifully. On porous surfaces, it dries quickly (as tested on plastic and paper) and the colour is permanent and highly durable - We tested this by refurbishing our apartment sign (so Amazon deliveries can find us more easily) which is exposed to all-weather and has shown no deterioration in a couple of months. On non-porous (metal) it can be wiped off easily whilst wet, and scratched off once dry - however, pleasantly it is still more durable than they claim (recommended to use a sealer on non-porous surfaces). The nib size is relatively large, so it isn’t ideal for fine detail. You can work around this by repeatedly activating the pen to produce a flow of acrylic paint onto a disposable surface and then applying the paint using a small brush. Why the loss of a star? Having both the pastel and primary set from SurfPaints I feel they have mixed up (swapped) the packaging of the 'Orange' and 'Pink' pens. The pink (from the primary set) lacks the vibrancy of the other colours, presenting a pastel tone. Alternatively, the Orange pen (included with the pastel set) is vibrant, bright and should have been included with the primary set.

We’re using this to touch up and draw on our small rocks in the garden and pot plants. This makes painting as easy as drawing with a marker penIt has an easy to use 4mm point – similar to a marker pen. It’s a warm day and the paint dries in a few minutes. There’s no smell from the paint.Only issue was that after shaking the white pen as instructed it started leaking and the tip looks like it’s about to come off. Other colours are fine.

The colours are vibrant and the pens are larger than expected. If you've ever used the other paint pen brand you'll be right at home with these. In fact, I think they're better. They have a far more mild smell than other paint pens I have used. Being water based and acrylic this is likely the reason why.I used mine for drawing on my skateboard grip tape. The larger 4mm tips make this easy, because if you've ever drawn on top of grip tape, you know how difficult that can be and what a toll it takes on felt tip pens. These held up very well.I tested these on my fridge, glass, and even fabric. Excellent coverage and no beading up on smooth surfaces. Stays where you put it and the colours in this pastel set are just awesome. That's not even the best part though. Go to their website. They have guides on how you can use their products in a number of different ways. Such as drawing on surfboards and techniques for setting the paint into clothes. Great branding, recycled packaging, etc. Love it!
