Choose exactly the acrylic paint pen your project needs
- Build your own colour collection: add a new shade or replace a well-loved favourite without buying another full set.
- Pick the right nib: choose 1mm extra fine for details, 4mm bullet for versatile everyday work, or 15mm wide for fast, bold coverage.
- Create across surfaces: use on wood, metal, canvas, plastic, rocks, glass, shoes, helmets and more.
Which nib size should I choose?
- 1mm extra fine: precise details and outlines, available in black and white.
- 4mm bullet: the most versatile option for drawing, lettering and general creative projects.
- 15mm wide: broad marks, backgrounds and quick coverage.
Filled with high-quality Japanese acrylic paint, Surfpaints give a smooth, opaque finish, with a water-based, low-odour formula suited to indoor creative spaces. Replacement bullet and chisel nibs are available separately.

1mm Fine Tip vs. 4mm Medium Tip Side-by-side stroke guide
How our nib sizes work together:
- 1.0mm Fine Tip: Razor-sharp outlines, small lettering, signatures & intricate detail over dried base coats.
- 4.0mm Medium Tip: Smooth, bold strokes for fast colour blocking & everyday all-surface artwork.
