Primary Acrylic Paint Pens - Size 4mm Bullet Nibs

These pens are so much better than I expected them to be (I'm an old cynic y'know)
I'm not into surfing, but using paper, card, or canvas they are pretty impressive.
I'll be purchasing more!

The primary set of Surfpaints offers a good selection of colours that activate easily and flow beautifully.On porous surfaces, it dries quickly (as tested on plastic and paper) and the colour is permanent and highly durable - We tested this by refurbishing our apartment sign (so Amazon deliveries can find us more easily) which is exposed to all-weather and has shown no deterioration in a couple of months. On non-porous (metal) it can be wiped off easily whilst wet, and scratched off once dry - however, pleasantly it is still more durable than they claim (recommended to use a sealer on non-porous surfaces).The nib size is relatively large, so it isn’t ideal for fine detail. You can work around this by repeatedly activating the pen to produce a flow of acrylic paint onto a disposable surface and then applying the paint using a small brush.Why the loss of a star? Having both the pastel and primary set from SurfPaints I feel they have mixed up (swapped) the packaging of the 'Orange' and 'Pink' pens. The pink (from the primary set) lacks the vibrancy of the other colours, presenting a pastel tone. Alternatively, the Orange pen (included with the pastel set) is vibrant, bright and should have been included with the primary set.

We’re using this to touch up and draw on our small rocks in the garden and pot plants.This makes painting as easy as drawing with a marker penIt has an easy to use 4mm point – similar to a marker pen.It’s a warm day and the paint dries in a few minutes.There’s no smell from the paint.Only issue was that after shaking the white pen as instructed it started leaking and the tip looks like it’s about to come off. Other colours are fine.

The colours are vibrant and the pens are larger than expected. If you've ever used the other paint pen brand, you'll be right at home with these. These are just amazing.They have a far milder smell than other paint pens I have used. Being water-based and acrylic, this is likely the reason why. They are NOT labeled as non toxic though, so I can't speak to them being safe for younger children.I used mine for drawing on my skateboard grip tape. The larger 4mm tips make this easy because if you've ever drawn on top of grip tape, you know how difficult that can be and what a toll it takes on felt-tip pens.I tested these on stainless steel, glass, and even fabric. Excellent coverage and no beading up on smooth surfaces. They stay where you put them, and the colours in this primary set are just awesome. Just make sure you shake them well before saturating the tips. I noticed on one pen I got a little lazy with it and the pigment wasn't mixed through well enough when they finally came through.That's not even the best part though. They have guides on their website on how you can use their products in a number of different ways. Such as drawing on surfboards and techniques for setting the paint into clothes and adding a protective coating for smoother surfaces.Great branding, recycled packaging, love it!

I've been using these surf paints for rock painting. They are great for both colouring surface areas as well as detailed work that requires finer lines. The primary colours are vibrant. Will purchase again.
